vivo X80 Pro gets Android 13 with Funtouch OS 13

Vivo launched the X80 Pro in China with OriginOS Ocean based on Android 12. The global version sold in other countries came with Funtouch OS 12 instead. Last month, the Chinese distributed the first beta versions of Funtouch OS 13 based on Android 13 for the X80 Pro global models. The beta tests don’t seem to have shown any major problems, because now the stable update is here.

The update for the Vivo X80 Pro is currently in India with the firmware version PD2185BF_EX_A_13.1.10.13.W30 and has a download size of 6.24 GB. The Android security patch from November 1, 2022 is on board, as are some new functions. This includes new cooling features in the iManager app. According to Vivo, this prevents the phone from overheating because the iManager intelligently lowers the CPU frequency. In plain language: It terminates individual apps that are not actively used.

However, Funtouch OS 13 does not bring any major UI changes to the vivo X80 Pro as there was no design overhaul. You can find all the information in our report on the announcement of Funtouch OS 13. Those who live in India and have not yet received the stable Funtouch OS 13 update on their vivo phone can also search for it manually as usual. Simply start the manual search in the settings menu under software update. If you have already received the stable Funtouch OS 13 update in another country, please leave us a comment below.
