The vivo X Fold 2 and X Flip have been the subject of numerous leaks over the past two months. Now there’s finally a rumored launch date to look forward to. Based on information from a trusted Chinese tipster, vivo will launch its new foldables and the Pad 2 on April 20th.


In addition to revealing the launch date, some new images of the vivo phones have also come to light that look pretty official. There were also further confirmations of the technical data for all three devices. The vivo X Fold 2 has the currently fastest Android chipset under the hood, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The vivo X Fold 2 charges with a cable with a fast 120 watts and wirelessly with 50 watts.
The clamshell vivo X Flip should use a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. Power is supplied by a 4,400 mAh battery that charges at 44 watts. The main camera uses a Sony IMX866 sensor and has a resolution of 50 megapixels. Finally the vivo Pad 2 will use a 144Hz LCD display with a resolution of 1,800 x 2,880 pixels and a 7:5 aspect ratio. The Pad 2 has a metal body and is said to be launched with a fast MediaTek Dimensity 9000+ chipset.
