Last week, the first hint emerged that the vivo V30 Pro was about to launch – certification from the Bluetooth SIG. Now the phone has appeared in the Geekbench database with a Qualcomm Dimensity 8200 chipset. At least this seems to be the chipset in question. The V30 Pro is said to be based on the vivo S18 Pro. But it came onto the market with the more powerful Dimensity 9200+ chip and only in China.

It is too early to discuss the benchmark results as they vary significantly with just two runs in the database. One has a rather weak 1,045 single-core and 3,637 multi-core points. The other has 1,223 / 3,784 points, which is more in line with the Dimensity 8200. Additionally, the vivo smartphone had 12GB of RAM under the hood and ran Android 14. vivo has already launched a number of phones with the 8200, including the V27 Pro and V29 Pro from last year.

That being said, the vivo V30 Lite has been on the market since late 2023. It features a Snapdragon 695 chipset and a base configuration of 12/256 GB. The vivo V30 was launched exactly a week ago with a Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 processor and storage option from 8/128GB to 12/512GB.

The vivo V30 is quite similar to the S18, although there are differences such as a 50 megapixel ultrawide camera instead of an 8 megapixel camera. The V30 Lite features even more changes over the S18e. Therefore, there is a very good chance that the V30 Pro will differ from the S18 Pro in more ways than just the chipset.
