The vivo iQOO Neo 7 Pro was launched today in India with a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset, 120 watt charging and a 50 megapixel main camera. Also, the iQOO 11s and the TWS 1 earbuds hit the stage. To some, these functions and the design may look familiar. Because it is actually the iQOO Neo7 Racing, which has been relaunched for the international market.

During the event, vivo heavily advertised the “dual-chip power” of the iQOO Neo 7 Pro. That’s what the Chinese call their system with a dedicated, independent gaming chip. The gaming processor extrapolates frames during gameplay and can even upscale apps that are normally capped at 90 fps to 120 fps. GPU rendering reduces power consumption and ensures “consistently high frame rates for uninterrupted gaming”. Unfortunately, vivo did not reveal any technical details about the chip during the presentation on stage.

The vivo iQOO 7 Neo Pro also has a 50 megapixel main camera with a Samsung GN5 sensor, an 8 megapixel ultra wide and a 2 megapixel macro camera. The selfie camera has a 16 megapixel sensor and sits in a punch hole. The 6.78-inch AMOLED display has a Full HD+ resolution and iQOO promises a brightness of 1,300 nits. It also supports a 120Hz refresh rate, as well as 2,160Hz PWM dimming and HDR10+. The only difference to the Neo7 Racing is the user interface – internationally vivo uses Funtouch 13 on top of Android 13.

The 5,000 mAh battery charges from 0 to 50% in eight minutes thanks to its 120 watt charging power. You also get the largest vapor chamber ever in an iQOO smartphone. This helps with long gaming sessions as well as with the very fast charging processes.

Prices

The iQOO Neo 7 Pro will go on sale on July 15 through the vivo website and Amazon India. There are two versions: Fearless Flame in vegan orange leather, and Dark Storm with a blue to black gradient finish and a plastic back.

Prices start at INR 34,999 ($425/€390) for the 8/128GB storage variant and INR 37,999 ($465/€425) for the 12/256GB storage variant. There are some early bird promotions that can save you INR 3,000 ($36/€33) in the first three days. In addition, iQOO offers a two-year warranty and an additional year for those who pre-order the smartphone.
