The vivo iQOO 12 and 12 Pro will be unveiled on November 7th and will most likely be powered by the new Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset. Shortly before the big announcement, the first live images of the upcoming flagship appeared today. Reliable tipster Digital Chat Station posted the images on his Weibo account, confirming previous leaks about the phone’s design.

On the front there is a flat display with symmetrical-looking edges and a central selfie camera. As for the main cameras, we expect a 50-megapixel 1/1.3-inch OmniVision OV50H wide camera and a 50-megapixel 1/2.76-inch Samsung ISOCELL JN1 ultra-wide cam. The 3x telephoto camera has a resolution of 64 megapixels on a 1/2-inch OmniVision OV64B sensor. The OV64B is also used in the new OnePlus Open.

A Geekbench test of an iQOO 12 Pro with Android 14 and 16 GB of RAM has also surfaced. The benchmark test finished with 2,235 single-core and 6,912 multi-core points – decent, but not record-breaking, values. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 features a single Cortex-X4 core running at up to 3.30 GHz, five Cortex-A720 performance cores – three at 3.15 GHz and two at 2.96 GHz – and two Cortex-A520 efficiency cores with 2.27 GHz.

In addition, the vivo iQOO 12 and 12 Pro will charge with 120 watt FlashCharge. According to rumors, the base model has a 5,000 mAh battery while the Pro has a 5,100 mAh battery. Finally, vivo’s self-developed Q1 gaming chip is also on board to control the 144 Hz displays, among other things.
