Tecno is still fairly unknown in Europe, but the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, which has been active since 2006, has just presented its first horizontally foldable smartphone called the Phantom V Fold. Next up is apparently the Tecno Phantom V Flip, the group’s first clamshell phone. Several images from a protective case manufacturer have surfaced online today, already revealing parts of the design. Accordingly, the V Flip will have a circular cover display with two cameras and an LED flash on the side.
If you take the current trends not only for foldables as a basis, the two lenses should be a wide main camera and an ultra-wide camera. The main competitors sport the same setup on the back – the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 and the Motorola Razr 40 Ultra.
The pictures also show a flat power button that also serves as a fingerprint sensor. On the first picture you can also see that the selfie camera sits in a punch hole in the main display. And we get the usual USB-C port on the bottom.
However, the images should still be renderings and not real photos. Therefore, the dimensions and the location of the individual components may be correct, but the design may still be far from reality. Therefore, we hope that the first official teasers for the Tecno Phantom V Flip will come soon.
