Tecno is apparently preparing to release a new member of its camera-focused Camon series. The Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G just recently surfaced online in a few images and with some leaked specs. However, the leak only revealed the camera module, which indicates a lot of potential. According to the new source, the Camon 20 Premier 5G will have a leather back to enhance the phone both visually and for a comfortable feel in hand.
That being said, the Tecno Camon 20 Premier 5G is said to have a flat AMOLED display with an FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The display diagonal should be in the 6.X inch range. It is said to be powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 1200 chipset in combination with 8 GB of RAM (plus another 8 GB of virtual RAM) and up to 512 GB of storage. The latter cannot be expanded, but there should be two SIM slots.
There will also be an in-display fingerprint sensor and dual stereo speakers, although a 3.5mm headphone jack appears to be missing. The camera setup is said to be based on a 108 megapixel main camera with sensor-shift OIS and laser autofocus. Tecno also installs a 13 megapixel ultra wide and a macro camera. In addition, the Camon 20 Premier 5G is expected to boot Tecnos HiOS 13 skin based on Android 13.
According to the source, there are two color options – pink/burgundy and black. The price should be around INR 25,000 (€282/$304). That sounds like a pretty good deal given the specs. Nothing is known about a possible start date.
