Second Apple visionOS Beta is here

Apple has just started releasing the second visionOS developer beta. There’s a catch though – the company still doesn’t provide hardware kits for the Apple Vision Pro headset. Therefore, the vast majority of developers will need to install the new version of visionOS on their Macs.

Apple is said to be shipping the hardware soon, but until then the company is advising developers to run the new operating system in Xcode. The update itself is 6.72 GB in size and has the build number 21N5207f.

While the applications for the Vision Pro headset developer kit are now online, the physical hardware is only made available to select developers. If you don’t have the hardware, Apple recommends that you continue to run the new beta on a separate computer. Alternatively, Apple recommends backing up all sensitive data. Beta software is still unstable and data loss may occur.
