Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 with titanium frame, Z Flip6 with Exynos

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 could have a titanium frame and, just like the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6, an Exynos chipset.

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, introduced in January, has a titanium frame. If tipster Revegnus is to be believed, Samsung’s next titanium-framed smartphone will be the Galaxy Z Fold6.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5, launched last year, features an aluminum frame. The Galaxy S24 Ultra – the most expensive model in the Galaxy S series – is currently the only smartphone in Samsung’s portfolio with a titanium frame. Therefore, it is hardly surprising that only the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 could have a titanium frame, so the prices will be significantly higher than the Ultra. However, it is unclear whether the Galaxy Z Flip6 will also switch to a titanium frame or continue to use aluminum. We’re betting on the latter.

The latest rumors about the chipset of the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 also fit in with this. Last year’s Samsung Galaxy Z Flip5 has a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset under the hood. However, the successor could get an Exynos chip, as tipster Revegnus also claims. And that Exynos chip would probably be the Exynos 2400.

Given that Samsung launched the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+ as Snapdragon and Exynos versions, the Korean brand could break with the tradition of only equipping its foldables with Snapdragon chips. However, a dual-chip strategy would also be conceivable here with Snapdragon for the US market and Exynos processors in the rest of the world.

We also have to wait and see whether Samsung will equip the Galaxy Z Fold6 with an Exynos chip or only launch it with Snapdragon CPUs. The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6 are rumored to launch in July. Therefore, the leaks surrounding Samsung cell phones are likely to continue to gain momentum.
