Two more devices are in line for the update to Android 14: The betas for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Z Flip3 are ready.

Over the past few weeks, Samsung has slowly increased the frequency and added even more smartphones to the One UI 6 beta program. Today it is again the turn of two new devices to update to Android 14. The betas for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and the Galaxy Z Flip3 from 2021 are ready.

The betas are live at launch in Samsung’s home country of South Korea and are already available for download. If you live in South Korea and want to participate in the beta program, all you need to do is tap the One UI 6 banner in the Samsung Members app. Then you have to enter a few details and then tap “Download and install” under Settings > Software Update. The latest One UI 6 beta based on Android 14 will then come as an over-the-air software update.

Since this is a large Android version update, the file size is correspondingly large at around 3 GB. Therefore, on the one hand, you should ensure there is enough free storage space on your Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 or Galaxy Z Flip3 and, on the other hand, you should ensure a fast internet connection without a data limit.

At the same time, Samsung is working hard on the first stable version of One UI 6 for the Galaxy S23 series, which may be released in the next few weeks. Older Samsung smartphones like the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 and Galaxy Z Flip3 will undoubtedly have to wait a little longer. But if Samsung manages to maintain last year’s impressive update release frequency, it won’t be long.
