Samsung is expected to unveil its Galaxy Z Flip6 as well as the Galaxy Z Fold6 and Galaxy Ring at the next Unpacked event in July. Some speculation has already suggested that Samsung’s in-house Exynos 2400 chipset could power the new foldables. But two new Geekbench GPU tests now show that there will be a Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy under the hood instead.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 showed up with model number SM-F741U. It went through Geekbench compute tests under the Vulcan and OpenCL APIs. The Samsung phone achieved a test score of 15,084 in Vulkan and 14,325 points in the OpenCL benchmark. More importantly, the Vulkan test confirms the presence of an eight-core CPU with a base frequency of 2.26 GHz and an Adreno 750 GPU. These technical data correspond exactly to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 Made for Galaxy.

The Geekbench tests also reveal that the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 runs Android 14. There will probably be Samsung’s One UI 6.1 interface and the Korean AI assistant called Galaxy AI. The device in the test also had 8 GB of RAM. This is a bit strange considering that even mid-range Galaxy smartphones can now be configured with 12 GB of RAM.
