Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6: Larger display and up to 12 GB RAM

Everything is better: The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 gets a better 3.9 inch display, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3, a new hinge and more RAM.

Samsung equipped the Galaxy Z Flip5 with a 3.4-inch cover display last year, which was a big upgrade over the tiny 1.9-inch displays on the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Z Flip3. A new rumor from reliable tipster TheGalox_ now suggests that the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 will get an even larger 3.9-inch display.

In addition, the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 gets an improved hinge and a revised internal layout with a larger cooling system. However, the size of the main display will not change at 6.7 inches. The drive is most likely provided by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chipset in combination with up to 12 GB of RAM. This would be the first time Samsung offers more than 8GB of RAM in its Flip series.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip6 reportedly has two cameras on the back: a 50-megapixel main camera and a 12-megapixel ultra-wide lens. Samsung will also implement its Galaxy AI features and guarantee 7 years of software and security updates, just like the Galaxy S24 series. The Flip6 is also rumored to get a 4,000mAh battery, which would be a welcome upgrade over the Flip5’s 3,700mAh cell. The Flip6 is expected to launch in July at the Galaxy Unpacked event alongside the Galaxy Z Fold6 and the Galaxy Ring.
