The upcoming Samsung Galaxy Watch6 series is set to be launched most likely in August alongside the new foldables Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5. A new leak now reveals some technical data on the Samsung smartwatches, but not on the Pro model.
Accordingly, the Samsung Galaxy Watch6 comes in two sizes, as does the Galaxy Watch6 Classic. Thanks to a certification from a Chinese regulatory authority, the battery capacities for the smaller and larger watches have now come to light. Both the 40mm Galaxy Watch6 and the 42mm Galaxy Watch6 Classic have a 300mAh battery. The normal 44mm model and the Classic 46mm, on the other hand, have a capacity of 425 mAh.
Both capacities are slightly higher than last year, when the Galaxy Watch5 had to make do with 284 mAh in 40 mm and 410 mAh in 44 mm. According to a recent rumor, Samsung is bringing the rotating bezel back with its new smartwatches this year, but only on the Galaxy Watch6 Pro. However, the feature would also go very well with the models in the Classic line. Also, the rotating bezel would explain the 2mm difference in size compared to the regular models.
