Samsung Galaxy Watch 6 Classic: The bezel is back

Samsung launched the Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch 5 Pro last year, but we didn’t get a Classic model. Now it looks like Samsung is actually preparing a Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, and the first matching renders have surfaced. Popular tipster Steve “OnLeaks” Hemmerstoffer (via MySmartPrice) has shared alleged renders of the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic. And the pictures actually show a watch with a rotating bezel, matching the predecessor Galaxy Watch4 Classic.

The renders also appear to show home and back buttons on the right side, as well as a magnetic wristband. Unfortunately, that’s about all you can see from the pictures. So if you liked the design of the Galaxy Watch 4 Classic but are looking for more up-to-date technology, you could soon find it at Samsung. The rotating bezel was completely absent from the Galaxy Watch 5 series. Fans of this operating option can therefore also look forward to the upcoming Samsung Smartwatch.

According to the rumors so far, Samsung will launch the Galaxy Watch 6 series including the Classic version at the company’s next Unpacked event. According to reports from Korea, the event will take place in July and will also set the stage for the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 and Galaxy Z Flip5. It is also already known that Google Wear OS will be used as the operating system and Samsung’s new One UI 5 Watch will be used as the interface. Last but not least, the new smartwatches are said to have larger batteries and faster chipsets.
