Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra: Underwater test

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra comes standard with Samsung’s S Pen stylus. Since the new tablets are waterproof for the first time in the series, the question arises as to how well the S Pen still works on the wet tablet. Samsung has now posted a video in which the stylus and the IP68 dust and water resistance meet in the test.

And as you can see, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra passed the test with flying colors. The S Pen works normally, like using the tablet on dry land. In the water, the revised Vision Booster technology also automatically brightens the display to adapt to the lighting conditions. But the whole thing also works in the sun by the pool or under artificial lighting indoors.

Like the previous Samsung Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra, it is again a 14.6-inch display, but this time with a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel like the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra. Multitasking with up to three apps at the same time is possible on the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. There are also customized Samsung apps like the new GoodNotes app, which converts handwritten text into digital documents.

Alternatively, you can use the Book Cover keyboard and turn the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra into a notebook. With the Samsung DeX app, you can also connect an additional monitor, keyboard and mouse wirelessly or via USB-C.

This year, the Samsung Galaxy tablets are equipped with the faster and more efficient Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset. The Ultra also features a new top configuration with 1TB of storage (plus a microSD slot for additional storage). The top model also has 16 GB of RAM, which also helps with multitasking.
