Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra chipset and battery revealed

After yesterday’s renderings of the Galaxy Tab S9+, there are finally more technical data about its big brother – the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. The new information comes from reputable tipster Ice Universe and suggests that the physical dimensions of the upcoming Samsung tablet will be almost identical to its predecessor, the Galaxy Tab S8 Ultra (review). It measures the same 326.4 x 208.6 x 5.5 mm but is a manageable 11 grams heavier at 737 g.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra sports the same 14.6-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 1848 x 2960 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. Ice Universe also confirmed that the battery capacity of the Tab S9 Ultra is unchanged at 11,200 mAh and the charging speed will again be at a maximum of 45 watts.

New specs include the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 for Galaxy chipset paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM. Also, the Samsung Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra, along with the rest of the S9 series models, will be IP68 water and dust resistant, which would be a first for a Samsung tablet apart from the Galaxy Tab Active models.
