The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite is so good that Samsung released it for the third time today. The original model came onto the market in 2020, the last model is from 2022 and now there is a new 2024 model with minor changes mainly to the chipset. In fact, Samsung Romania is already selling the tablet, although Samsung has not published a press release or any other announcement.

The key specifications of the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) are still the same – a 10.4-inch LCD display with 2,000 x 1,200 pixels in 15:9 format. An S Pen is on board as well as the well-known 7,040 mAh battery. And nothing has changed in the Wi-Fi and LTE versions either.

There is a new chipset in the Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024), but unfortunately Samsung is not revealing which one. Samsung Romania only lists an octa-core processor with 2.4 GHz and 2.0 GHz cores. The 2022 model instead relies on Snapdragon 732G and 720G chips with 2.3 GHz and 1.8 GHz. Unofficial sources claim that the chipset is the Exynos 1280.

Base RAM and storage capacities remain 4 and 64 GB, with a microSD slot for more storage. There will also be a 128GB model, but it’s not yet available on Samsung.com. The Samsung tablet runs Android 14 with One UI 6.1 out of the box. The 2022 model came onto the market with Android 12 and One UI 4.0. Meanwhile, however, the One UI 6.0 update is available for download.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) promises up to 14 hours of video playback and 12 to 13 hours of surfing (both via LTE/WiFi) on one battery charge. There is no information about the charging speed, but both previous models of the Tab S6 Lite only managed 15 watts each.

The Samsung Galaxy Tab S6 Lite (2024) is available in mint and gray and currently only in the 4/64 GB version. However, Samsung has not yet announced prices for either the Wi-Fi model or the LTE model. In addition, one of the images shows a third color variant, which has not yet appeared in the Galaxy Store.
