Samsung Galaxy S24: Lock screen gets Instagram shortcut

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series is apparently getting an Instagram camera shortcut and the Expert RAW app is getting an ND filter.
Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S24 series apparently gets an additional shortcut for the Instagram camera directly on the lock screen. The feature was discovered by X user Alessandro Paluzzi, who also provided the left screenshot below.

Currently, with small exceptions, only system apps are allowed on the lock screen – music, weather, alarms or routines. The social media widget could become part of One UI 6.1 once Samsung’s latest interface arrives alongside the Galaxy S24 series. As soon as you open Instagram on your S24 for the first time, the pop-up at the top should appear. You then have to grant the Instagram camera access and can customize the shortcut with additional options.

Samsung Expert RAW camera app now with ND filter

Samsung has updated its Expert RAW camera app with the new Neutral Density (ND) filter feature. The experimental tool appears as soon as you update the app to the latest version from the Galaxy Store. Then you can find the ND filter in the “Expert RAW Labs” section in the app settings.

Once the ND filter is enabled on the Samsung phone, an ND icon will appear in the top right corner of the viewfinder. This allows you to adjust the strength of the ND filter in steps of two from 2 to 1,000. The Samsung Galaxy S24 series should already have the filter on board at launch.
