Last month, reliable tipster Ice Universe claimed that Samsung would adopt a flat design on the Galaxy S24 and Galaxy S24+. This claim has now been confirmed by OnLeaks, who shared renders of the Galaxy S24 in collaboration with Smartprix. Like the Samsung Galaxy S23, the Galaxy S24 also has a flat back. What is missing, however, are the curved sides of the S23.

It is also noticeable that the LED flash on the back is now placed between the first and second cameras and not next to the first camera like on the Galaxy S23. The button placement is the same as the power button and volume rocker remain on the right frame. There is also the new UWB antenna. At the bottom is the USB-C port, flanked by a SIM card slot, a microphone and a speaker. The Galaxy S24’s display will remain at 6.1 inches, but will have different dimensions – 147 x 70.5 x 7.6 mm compared to 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6 mm for the S23.

Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra looks pretty similar to the current flagship Galaxy S23 Ultra in the pictures. There are four cameras on the back in the same arrangement. The shape of the case is also almost identical, with flat top and bottom sides and a slightly curved side frame. On the front you can see a flatter display edge that is significantly less curved than on the S23 Ultra.

According to the report, Samsung has reduced the bezels. In fact, the Koreans have reportedly designed one of the narrowest bezels of any smartphone. Additionally, all four frames become symmetrical, so the bottom panel finally fits in with the rest. The report further states that the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra will have a titanium alloy body. This confirms previous leaks, as does the new weight of 233g.

Galaxy S24 series dimensions

Finally, Ice Universe has summarized the dimensions, display specifications and battery details of the upcoming Samsung phones today. According to the tipster, the Galaxy S24 will offer a slightly larger 6.2-inch display with smaller bezels. The S24+ should measure 6.7 inches and have a WQHD+ resolution, while the S24 Ultra retains the 6.8-inch WQHD+ panel of its predecessor.

The dimensions of the Galaxy S24 are reportedly 147 x 70.6 x 7.6mm compared to 146.3 x 70.9 x 7.6mm for the S23. The weight remains at 168 g and the charging rate remains at 25 watts, while the battery capacity increases slightly to 4,000 mAh. The FHD+ resolution doesn’t change either, but the peak brightness increases significantly to up to 2,500 nits. The S24+ and S24 Ultra have a WQHD+ resolution and also deliver a peak brightness of an extremely bright 2,500 nits.

According to Ice Universe, the frames on the S24 and S24+ are even narrower at 1.5 mm than on the Apple iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max (1.7 mm). The S24+ and S24 Ultra are also 1mm shorter compared to their predecessors.

According to rumors, the Samsung Galaxy S24 series will be unveiled on January 18, 2024, earlier than usual. So the next leaks are probably already in the starting blocks.
