The Samsung Galaxy S23 series is now a daily guest in the rumor mill. That said, there are still details that haven’t come to light ahead of the Unpacked event on February 1st. Today there are press images of the Galaxy S23+ and S23 Ultra showing the new Samsung smartphones in all color options. In the case of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, these are Phantom Black, Cotton Flower, Botanic Green and Misty Lilac this year.

The Galaxy S23+ comes in the same four color options as you can see above. It should be noted that Samsung likes to vary the available colors of its flagships depending on the market. Since you don’t know where the source got these press photos from, you can’t say with certainty whether you already know all the available options.

Galaxy S23, Buds2 Pro, Watch4 and Watch5: Update brings 360 audio

Samsung has also announced updates to its Galaxy Buds2 Pro TWS earbuds and Galaxy Watch5 and Galaxy Watch4 series smartwatches. However, the updates do not bring more sound, but expand the camera functions of a paired smartphone.

Specifically, the new Galaxy Buds2 Pro firmware brings a 360-degree audio recording function, which takes a microphone in each earphone as the audio source and adds the audio tracks to the video. According to Samsung, watching the videos makes you feel like you’re part of the action and you would hear “lifelike and immersive sounds that emulate an in-person experience.” The feature uses Bluetooth LE Audio to use the left and right microphone streams simultaneously.

Anyone who also owns a Samsung smartwatch from the Galaxy Watch4 or Galaxy Watch5 series can look forward to further new features. There is an update coming soon that will add zoom functionality to the camera app on the watches. As the name suggests, you can use it to control the zoom of a connected phone’s camera. All you have to do is touch the display or turn the bezel. Samsung thinks the feature is perfect for taking group selfies or group videos from a distance.

The 360-degree audio function will be “progressively released” on the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro. However, at the moment it only works on the Galaxy Z Flip4 and Galaxy Z Fold4 as these phones support Bluetooth LE audio. The upcoming Galaxy S23 series will definitely also have Bluetooth LE Audio on board.

The updated camera controller app will be available for download in February for the Galaxy Watch5, Galaxy Watch5 Pro, Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Watch4 Classic.
