According to previous leaks, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra could look quite similar to the Galaxy S22 Ultra. But there will be a lot going on under the hood. Qualcomm’s current top chipset, Snapdragon 8 Gen 2, is a safe bet for the drive and a new 200 megapixel main camera is a given.

But there will be other improvements to Samsung’s new flagship too, if reliable tipster Ice Universe is to be believed. And these aim to ensure that “Focus problem is no longer a problem”. Over two years ago, focus performance was a big topic on the Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra, the first Samsung smartphone to sport a 108-megapixel camera. At that time, the problems were solved via a software update and the cameras of the successors were optimized for better results.

As every year, the new generation of sensors in the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra should get even better. Focusing aside, Samsung has also greatly improved the camera’s Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). Samsung has reportedly also worked on the speakers and in particular increased the bass. In addition, the new Ultra will be equipped with a very powerful set of microphones.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series will be officially launched in three weeks and Samsung is already offering discounts for those who pre-order any of the phones. Improvements in camera focus and speaker performance may not be what compels buyers to buy a new phone. However, the Samsung deals have been worth a look regularly lately.
