Samsung Galaxy S23 series: All specs leak

Today was a pretty good day for Samsung leaks – each model of the upcoming Galaxy S23 series has surfaced on the internet with a picture and full specs direct from Samsung France.

Samsung Galaxy S23

The Samsung Galaxy S23 series has Qualcomm’s latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset under the hood. There’s also a 50-megapixel main camera on the entry-level model, which is accompanied by a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 3x telephoto 10-megapixel lens. The battery has a capacity of 3,900 mAh and charges with a maximum of 25 watts. There is WiFi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3 support.

The display has a size of 6.1 inches, has a resolution of 2,340 x 1,080 pixels and supports a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It is protected by the latest Gorilla Glass-Victus 2, and the S23 is dustproof and waterproof according to IP68. There’s 8GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128 or 256GB of storage.

Samsung Galaxy S23+

The Samsung Galaxy S23+ shares the camera setup and chipset with its smaller brother. However, the display grows to 6.6 inches, while the resolution and the other technical data of the panel remain the same. The battery has a capacity of 4,700 mAh. The RAM is also identical, as are the connectivity options. However, the storage increases to 256 GB in the basic model and has a maximum of 512 GB.

Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra

The Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, on the other hand, goes much further, which can already be seen in the 200 megapixel main camera with the new ISOCELL HP2 sensor. As has already been confirmed by various leaks, nothing changes on the hardware side of the remaining cameras. It sticks with the same ultrawide, 3x and 10x telephoto lenses of the Galaxy S22 Ultra. However, Samsung has promised that the image quality will increase with better processing.

The Snapdragon 8 Gen2 also works in the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but can optionally access 12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM instead of 8. The 6.8-inch 2X Dynamic AMOLED display has a resolution of 3,088 x 1,440 pixels and Gorilla Glass Victus 2 is also used here. The dimensions are almost identical to the predecessor, as is the 5,000 mAh battery with 45 watt charging. All three new models come with Android 13 and One UI 5.1. In addition to Bluetooth 5.3, Wi-Fi 6E and NFC, the Ultra also has a UWB module installed.

Samsung will launch the Galaxy S23 series on February 1st in black, purple, green and cream colors. Last year’s Ultra started at $1,199, the new one is rumored to be even more expensive.
