Samsung has announced the official date for the unveiling of the Galaxy S23 series. The Unpacked event will take place on February 1st. Originally, it was rumored that the new Samsung flagship phones will be launched at the end of February. In fact, the opposite seems to be the case. The leak comes from Samsung’s Colombian website.

Other than that, the official teasers doesn’t reveal much. But they show the new camera design of the base Galaxy S23 and the S23+. A bit of greenery in green and lilac can also be seen, likely a nod to the signature colors of the Galaxy S23 series. The green color of the leaves is for the S23 Ultra, while the purple lilac indicates the base model.

In addition, official-looking renderings of the Galaxy S23 and S23 Ultra have also appeared. This leak reveals the rest of the colors of the new Samsung smartphones, including Botanic Green, Misty Lilac, Cotton Flower and Phantom Black. Again, these color options are consistent with the official teaser and previous leaks.

The S23 and S23+ will look relatively similar. Both models have three rear cameras aligned vertically in the left corner. To the right is the LED flash and the Samsung branding on the underside. The power button and volume rocker are located on the right frame of the phone.

The S23 Ultra has a more boxy design and features a P-shaped camera arrangement, already familiar from the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra. As with the non-Ultra versions, there’s a Samsung logo at the bottom and a volume rocker and power button on the right. You can also see the antenna lines at the top and bottom, indicating that the S23 Ultra has a metal frame.

Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 and 200 MP camera

Samsung Galaxy S23 series specs are still not fully leaked. According to previous rumors, the Galaxy S23 Ultra will get a new 200 megapixel sensor for the main camera, which should take significantly better pictures at night and in poor light conditions. The 10x telephoto camera remains the same in terms of hardware, but thanks to new software it will also make a leap in terms of image quality.

The Samsung Galaxy S23 and S23+ can hope for a revised 50 megapixel main camera. According to the latest information, the latest and best display technology is not on board. All three models are powered by Qualcomm’s current top-of-the-line Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, both global devices and units for the European market.

Various other teasers and leaks are likely to appear before the Galaxy Unpacked event on February 1st.
