Samsung Galaxy S23 FE: specs and launch date

Samsung launched the Galaxy S21 FE in January 2022, but didn’t follow up with an S22 FE. And a few weeks ago, a usually reliable tipster even said there might not be a Samsung Galaxy S23 FE either. The SamMobile portal has now posted new information that points in a completely different direction. According to this, the Samsung Galaxy S23 Fan Edition will be launched in the fourth quarter of 2023, i.e. between October and December 2023.

SamMobile also claims that the Samsung smartphone will have Exynos 2200 chipsets at the helm in all markets. The competitor of the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 has already been used in several markets in the Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra (review). The Galaxy S21 FE still had a mix of Snapdragon and Exynos processors, depending on the target market.

Some technical data of the potential Samsung Galaxy S23 FE also came to light. This includes a revised main camera, which may still resolve 50 megapixels. The 4,500 mAh battery is likely to only charge at 25 watts and there are two storage options – 128 and 256 GB. The RAM sizes are 6 and 8 GB.

According to the source, the Galaxy S23 FE will have the model code SM-S711x. The model designation would thus correspond to Samsung’s current flagships of the S series.
