Samsung will bring its latest OneUI 6.1 software to 2022 and 2021 flagships very soon. According to a post by a moderator on the Samsung community website, there will be an update in May that will bring One UI 6.1 with AI features to the Galaxy S22 series. There are also the foldables Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and Galaxy Z Flip4 as well as the Tab S8 tablets. All of these devices get One UI 6.1 with “Galaxy S23 FE-Level of AI”, i.e. practically the full range.

The Samsung Galaxy S21 series and 2021 foldables won’t be quite as lucky. One UI 6.1 is just around the corner – the date is also in May – but there will only be limited AI functions.

The Samsung official revealed that the update will be available for the Galaxy S22, S22+, S22 Ultra, Z Fold4 and Z Flip4 in early May. The Galaxy Tab S8, Tab S8+ and Tab S8 Ultra will be available at the same time. These devices get all the cool features like generative editing, live translation or text summarization. Circle to Search is also on board.

Later this month it will be the turn of the Samsung Galaxy S21, Galaxy S21+, S21 Ultra, Z Flip3 and Z Fold3. However, these models only get Circle to Search and Magic Rewrite. With the latest updates, Samsung will have doubled its Galaxy AI users to over 200 million. At the end of March, the Koreans had already broken the 100 million mark.
