Another update is available for the Samsung Galaxy Buds2, but this has so far only been introduced in the company’s Korean home market. The new build is dubbed R177XXU0AWA3 and should make its way to other parts of the world very soon. The download is 3.06 MB in size and, as usual with updates to Samsung’s TWS buds, comes via a connected phone’s Galaxy Wearable app.

The update improves the charging stability of the earbuds. But it could also fix some other unnamed bugs, like most firmware updates. The Galaxy Buds2 have been around for quite some time at this point. And the Samsung event earlier this month didn’t bring a successor.

On the one hand, that came as a bit of a surprise. On the other hand, Samsung is sticking to its strategy of only bringing mature products onto the market. Just like last time with the Samsung Galaxy Buds2 Pro, which were able to fully convince in our review with a good sound and great ANC. At some point, however, there will inevitably be a successor. The next obvious date for the Galaxy Buds3 premiere would be in August. Samsung will unveil the Galaxy Z Fold5 and Z Flip5 then and maybe there’s some room left on the stage.
