Samsung unveiled the Galaxy Book4 Edge laptop last month as part of a new line of notebooks with Copilot+ assistant, Galaxy AI and the new Snapdragon X Elite chipset. Now the prices have also been announced. The Samsung notebook starts at $1,350 in the US and €1,700 in Europe and is available now.

There are two sizes – 14-inch with a weight of 1.16 kg (2.56 pounds) and a height of 10.9 mm (0.43 inches) and 16-inch with a weight of 1.55 kg (3.42 pounds) and a height of 12.3 mm (0.48 inches). The battery capacities are quite similar. 55.9 Wh and 61.8 Wh respectively, which should be enough for a day of battery life in each case.

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge has a 16:10 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2,880 x 1,800 pixels and 500 nits of brightness with anti-reflective coating. These support 10-point multitouch, have a variable refresh rate of up to 120 Hz, and render rich colors with 120% DCI-P3 coverage. Although both versions are powered by the Snapdragon X Elite, they are not necessarily the same. The 14-inch and 16-inch models use the X1E-80-100 chip as standard, but the 16-inch models can optionally choose the X1E-84-100.

In short, the 80 chip runs at up to 3.4 GHz when all CPU cores are active, and boosts up to 4.0 GHz when only two are active. The Adreno GPU delivers 3.8 TFLOPS of processing power. The 84 chip is the top-of-the-line model with 3.8GHz maximum frequency across all cores and 4.2GHz boost for two cores. The GPU also goes up to 4.6 TFLOPS. But it’s important to point out that all Elite models have 10 CPU cores, 42MB total cache, the same RAM speed, and the same NPU performance of 45 TOPS (which qualifies them for Copilot+).

Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge pricing

The Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge in 14-inch costs $1,350/€1,700 with 512GB storage. The 16-inch version is $1,450/€1,800. Upgrading to the more powerful chip version and 1TB storage brings the price up to $1,750/€2,100.

Samsung trade-ins can help you reduce the price by up to $500/€650. Users in the US can trade in an older laptop. European customers can only trade in a smartphone, tablet or smartwatch.
