A few weeks ago, Samsung introduced the ARM version of the Galaxy Book2 Pro 360, a thin and light Windows notebook with a Snapdragon 8cx Gen 3 chipset. While the chipset supports 5G, the original model only offered WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity. Now Samsung launched the 5G version of the laptop.
The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go 5G is a dual SIM device and can combine a physical SIM and an eSIM. However, only single SIM standby is supported. The 5G connection uses the sub-6 GHz bands. In addition, the laptop can connect to Wi-Fi 6E networks and leverages the Galaxy ecosystem. For example, you can connect to a Galaxy Tab tablet using the second screen feature. Fast and easy pairing for Samsung Galaxy Buds headphones like the Galaxy Buds2 Pro is also available.

The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go is relatively slim with a height of 15.5 mm and a weight of 1.44 kg (0.61inch, 3.17lbs). However, it passed MIL-STD-810H tests for low and high temperatures, thermal shock, vibration, low pressure and humidity. The Samsung notebook has a 14-inch IPS LCD display with a resolution of 1080p, which can be rotated 180 degrees. Windows 11 Home is used as the operating system, which supports x86 apps with 32 and 64 bits.
Galaxy Book2 Go with Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3
The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 7c+ Gen 3 chipset, which is mainly used due to its low energy consumption. It is based on a low-power 6 Nm TSMC process and features 8 Kryo cores and an Adreno GPU, similar to the Android chipsets. There is also an X53 modem and a FastConnect 6700 system for Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.2.
Samsung offers two USB-C ports, a USB-A 2.0 port, and a headset combo jack. There is also a microSD and a nanoSIM slot. The battery has a capacity of 42.3 Wh and charges via the included 45 watt power supply. The Samsung Galaxy Book2 Go will be available from the end of January via the Samsung website and selected mobile network providers. There is also a version without 5G.
Anyone interested in a Samsung notebook should probably wait and see. The new Galaxy Book3 series is expected to be launched at the Samsung Unpacked event on February 1st along with the Galaxy S23 smartphones.
