Samsung Galaxy A74 is said to be discontinued

Allegedly, the Galaxy A73 was the last flagship in the mid-range and Samsung will not be releasing a Galaxy A74 in 2023.

The best-selling Samsung smartphones have been the A5x series models for quite some time. The top models of the A series have been the A7x devices for years. According to a new rumor, that’s about to change next year – Samsung will discontinue the A7x series. According to this, the Galaxy A73 was the last flagship in the mid-range and Samsung will not release a Galaxy A74 in 2023. As a result, the Galaxy A54 should lead the A series in 2023 in terms of both popularity and specifications.

It also fits that there are already reports and rumors about the Galaxy A14, Galaxy A24, Galaxy A34 and Galaxy A54, but not about the Galaxy A74. Apparently, this is simply due to the fact that Samsung is no longer developing the Galaxy A74. That may sound surprising, but the Galaxy A73 actually led a shadowy existence in the Samsung portfolio and was also sold in fewer countries than the Galaxy A72. So maybe the Galaxy A73 had already announced what would happen with the Galaxy A74.

At the same time, there’s also no word yet on a Galaxy S22 FE or S23 FE, which would leave a pretty big price gap between the A54 and the S23. A gap that the Chinese competition in the form of Xiaomi, OnePlus or Motorola is happy to fill with various models. Hopefully there will be new information with the launch of the Galaxy S23 series, which according to the latest rumors will take place on February 1st.
