Samsung Galaxy A54 undergoes Bluetooth certification

The Samsung Galaxy A54 5G is expected to be presented in early 2023. After several leaks, a new certification by the Bluetooth SIG certification body now also points to the imminent launch. The Galaxy A74, on the other hand, will probably no longer be developed, making the A54 the new flagship of the Samsung A series.

An official confirmation is still missing. However, the listing of the Bluetooth SIG is a clear sign that the Galaxy A54 is about to be officially launched. Earlier this month, it appeared alongside the Galaxy F04s on the Geekbench benchmarking service.

In addition, the Bluetooth SIG confirms that the 5G-enabled A54 has the model number SM-A546V and will support the latest Bluetooth 5.3 standard. The chipset is a Samsung Exynos processor, codenamed s5e8835 according to Geekbench. In addition, the Samsung smartphone is specified with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of internal memory.

The Galaxy A54 5G achieved 776 single-core and 2,599 multi-core points on Geekbench. Android 13 with Samsung’s One UI 5 interface was used as the operating system. The Galaxy A-series phone will house three cameras in circular cutouts on the back, along with an LED flash. The main camera should have a resolution of 50 megapixels. It will have a flat display with thin bezels and a USB-C port on the bottom.

The battery should have a capacity of 5,100 mAh, but it only charges with a manageable 25 watts, which is typical for Samsung’s A series.
