It seems that MediaMarkt is no better at keeping secrets than Samsung. The Austrian department today revealed the prices and specifications of the Samsung Galaxy A54 and Galaxy A34. According to this, the basic model of the Samsung Galaxy A54 has 128 GB of memory and costs €500. There is also a 256 GB model for €550. Color options are Awesome Violet, Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite, and Awesome White.

The 128GB model of the Samsung Galaxy A34 costs €390, while the 256GB version goes for €460. The colors available are Awesome Violet, Awesome Lime, Awesome Graphite and Awesome Silver. Both Samsung smartphones have microSD slots, but the 128GB variants only have 6GB of RAM, while the 256GB phones have 8GB of RAM. Prices are lower than previous rumours, but still higher than the base prices of last year’s Samsung Galaxy A53 and Galaxy A33 (€450 and €370 respectively).

The two new models can be distinguished relatively easily by the selfie camera. The fancier Galaxy A54 uses a punch hole, while the cheaper A34 has a notch instead. Nevertheless, the Galaxy A34 has the larger 6.6-inch display, while the A54 is content with a 6.4-inch panel. Both displays offer AMOLED technology, FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz.
A54 with Exynos 1380, A34 with Dimensity 1080
According to the specs leaked so far, the Galaxy A54 will be powered by a Samsung Exynos 1380 chipset and a 5,000mAh battery with 25W charging. The camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel wide cam, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide and a 5-megapixel macro camera. On the front, a 32-megapixel camera snaps selfies.
The Galaxy A34 is based on a Dimensity 1080 processor instead, the battery is identical. There are 48/8/5-megapixel main cameras and a 13-megapixel front camera. Both smartphones are dust and waterproof according to IP67. The unveiling is expected to take place later this week.
