Last week, Samsung shared the One UI 5.1 global rollout schedule regarding its premium models. But even the middle class of the company has already started to switch to version 5.1 of the Samsung interface. The Samsung Galaxy A33 5G and the Galaxy A53 5G will get the update first. The rollout is currently running in South Korea with the firmware versions A336NKSU3CWB3 and A536NKSU4CWB3.
Most recently, the two Samsung smartphones received the One UI 5 update with Android 13 in November. Nothing changes in the Android version, but the brand new One UI 5.1 is on board, which was just introduced with the Galaxy S23 series.
The Samsung Galaxy A73 was launched in March last year alongside the A33 and A53, all three running Android 12 and One UI 4.1 at the time. However, the Galaxy A73 is not available in South Korea, so there may not be an update yet. There is also no official information as to when the rollout will be extended to other regions.
In addition to the new One UI 5.1 features, the firmware also includes the February 2023 Android security patch. The update for the Galaxy A53 is 1.4 GB in size, so it is advisable to download it using a WiFi connection and sufficient battery power.
