Samsung unveiled a regular guest in the rumor mill over the last few months officially today – the Samsung Galaxy A14 5G is here. The budget smartphone is relatively similar to its predecessor, the Galaxy A13 5G, but finally makes the leap to an FHD+ resolution and brings an improved 13-megapixel selfie camera.
The Samsung Galaxy A14 5G has a 6.6-inch IPS LCD display with FHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 90 Hz. The rest of the technical data comes from the predecessor. This includes a MediaTek Dimensity 700 chipset, 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage expandable via a microSD slot. The potentially cheap phone has a 50 megapixel main camera on the back as well as a 2 megapixel macro camera and a depth sensor. The battery has a capacity of 5,000 mAh and charges with 15 watts.
The Galaxy A14 5G boots Android 13 with One UI 5 and comes in a single color option – black. The price is $200 in the US, with open sale starting on January 12th. The Samsung smartphone also comes to parts of Europe. According to Samsung it will also start in Spain “in the coming months”. Unfortunately, no prizes are associated with this announcement.
