Last week, Samsung already brought the One UI 5.1 update to the Galaxy S22 series, the Galaxy Z Flip4 (review) and the Z Fold4 (review). Now the new firmware is also coming to older Samsung smartphones, including the Galaxy Z Fold3. The download is a good 1.4GB in size and comes with the new Expert RAW camera app and better multitasking.

The Samsung Galaxy Z Fold3 is best known for its advanced multi-window mode. With One UI 5.1 it is now even easier to minimize the screen or switch to full screen mode. The most frequently used apps in shared mode can be saved as shortcuts in the toolbar. There are also some improvements for DeX users.
In addition, the update also brings new actions for routines and changing wallpapers based on the different modes. There are also improved weather widgets and more features in the Gallery app, including improved image remastering. The software update has the version number F926BXXU3EWB1, F926BOXM3EWB1 or F926BXXU3EWB1 and also includes the latest security patch from February 2023. European Galaxy Z Fold3 models will be the first to be updated, but other markets are expected to follow very soon.
In addition, One UI 5.1 for the Galaxy A series is in the starting blocks. The rollout for the Galaxy A33 und Galaxy A53 has already started in South Korea. The international versions and the Galaxy A73 should follow next.
