Rumor: OnePlus 11 gets ceramic body and fast storage

The upcoming OnePlus 11 will become the Chinese maker’s flagship as there will reportedly no longer be a Pro model. According to tipster Digital Chat Station, the next generation will focus on high-quality craftsmanship and first-class performance.

The OnePlus 11 will reportedly have a ceramic body built on top of a metal frame. Ceramics have been used before for high-end smartphones like the Xiaomi Mi 11 Ultra. Ceramic looks and feels unique, but it’s both expensive and heavy.

OnePlus 11 Pro renderings

According to several rumors, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset just introduced will take over. According to DCS, the flagship processor will work alongside a generous 16GB of RAM and the latest UFS 4.0 storage, that runs both faster and more efficiently than UFS 3.1. The OnePlus smartphone will reportedly feature a curved display with FHD+ resolution and a punchhole camera in the top-left corner.

Mind you, DCS only refers to the OnePlus 11 and not to a Pro model. It is not yet known whether there will be a Pro or how the smartphones could differ. The OnePlus 11 should bring a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor, a 48-megapixel ultra wide-angle (IMX581) and a 32-megapixel 2x telephoto camera (IMX709).

First renderings have already shown the new design of the Hasselblad camera island of the OnePlus 11 Pro. The base model should use the same design language. Allegedly, a potential OnePlus 11 Pro also has a 5,000 mAh battery under the hood that charges at 100 watts via cable. The same should apply to the normal 11.
