Redmi Note 12 Turbo and Realme GT Neo5 SE with SD 7+ Gen 2

Two Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 phones are already in the starting blocks: the Xiaomi Redmi Note 12 Turbo and the Realme GT Neo5 SE.

Qualcomm just announced its upper-mid-range Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2 chipset. Shortly thereafter, Xiaomi and Realme spoke up on Weibo and each confirmed that their own models with the new processor are close to launch. For Xiaomi, it’s the Redmi Note 12 Turbo and for Realme the GT Neo5 SE.

Additionally, tipster Yogesh Brar revealed that the Xiaomi Poco F5 will also be launching soon with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen2 chip. Rumor also has it that Qualcomm will soon launch another mid-range chipset with the Snapdragon 685. The Snapdragon 685 should make its debut in the Redmi Note 12 4G.

Xiaomi has set the launch date for the Redmi Note 12 series for March 23rd. The new Redmi Note 12 Turbo may also debut on that day with the Snapdragon 7+ Gen 2. The Xiaomi phone is rumored to be launched with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with FHD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The main camera has a resolution of 50 megapixels and the 5,500 mAh battery charges with 67 watts.

The Realme GT Neo5 SE is expected to launch with an AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The camera setup includes a 50-megapixel main camera, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 2-megapixel sensor. In addition, the Realme smartphone has a maximum of 16 GB of RAM and up to 512 GB of storage on board. The operating system is Android 13 with Realme’s latest interface UI 4.0. The Realme GT Neo 5 SE should launch sometime in April.
