Flipkart was a bit premature. The Indian online retailer accidentally revealed the release date of the Realme Pad 2 – it’s July 19th. It will feature an 11.5-inch display with a thin bezel and high refresh rate. Sales start a week after the unveiling.
Flipkart has meanwhile removed the images of the Realme Pad 2 that you can see above with the main specifications, as well as the page itself. The Android tablet has a circular camera module and four speakers. The display is advertised as 2K, which corresponds to a resolution of 2,000 x 1,200 pixels. The panel also has 10 bits and can therefore display one billion colors.
Other features include an adaptive brightness of up to 450 nits with DC dimming and the O1 Ultra Vision Engine. The refresh rate reaches a maximum of 120 Hz, but you can also adjust it down to 60 or 40 Hz. The Realme Pad 2 also features a USB-C port on the bottom, but no 3.5mm headphone jack is visible. Accordingly, you either need Bluetooth headphones or the port also works with an adapter.
The Realme Pad 2 is reportedly powered by a Helio G99 chipset, which natively only supports LTE. The same processor already powered the predecessor Realme Pad. The tablet should first come onto the market in India and later also reach the international markets.
