Realme GT5: name officially confirmed, first images

Realme is currently preparing to launch its latest flagship, the Realme GT5. Realme officially confirmed the model name yesterday on their Weibo profile. Images of the brand’s stand at the China Joy 2023 exhibition had previously surfaced, also showing the GT5 logo. Thanks to the reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the first technical data are now available.

Accordingly, the Realme GT5 has a 6.67-inch OLED display with a 1.5K resolution (1,240 x 2,772 pixels) and a refresh rate of 144 Hz. The front camera is located in a punch hole in the middle. You can’t see the actual design, because the Realme cell phone is in a protective cover.

The Realme GT5 is expected to get the currently fastest Android chipset, a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 in combination with up to 24 GB of RAM. The new tip also suggests that the smartphone will be available with cable charging capacities of 240 watts and 150 watts. That would be the same charging speeds as last year’s Realme GT Neo5 and GT Neo5 240W. Rumor has it that the premiere in China will take place in August. Outside of China, the models are expected to be launched as the Realme GT Neo6.

Two Realme smartphones with the model codes RMX3820 and RMX3823 were recently certified by TENAA. These should be the GT Neo6 and the GT Neo6 Pro, which, according to TENAA, primarily differ in terms of battery capacity and charging speed. Whether the GT5 Pro will be a renamed GT Neo6 Pro – we’ll keep you up to date.
