Realme GT Neo5 teaser shows purple LED light on the back

Realme will launch the new flagship GT Neo5 with 240W fast charging on February 9th. In order to shorten the waiting time, new teasers for the Realme smartphone are currently being released regularly. So also today with a short trailer that shows the design of the back with three main cameras on a square island. Apparently, however, a violet LED light is also installed on the side.

Realme also shared some details about the fast charging of the GT Neo5. The charger is based on GaN technology. There is also a 12 ampere cable, three separate charging pumps and a 10-cell battery. The charging power is so high that, according to Realme, 30 seconds of charging is enough for two hours of talk time. Reassuringly, TÜV Rheinland has already certified the battery as safe. In addition, the cell should withstand 1,600 complete charge and discharge cycles without losing more than 20% of its capacity. That’s twice the industry standard of 800 cycles.

The Realme GT Neo5 is expected to feature a 50-megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor and OIS. It could be powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chipset. But there are also rumors about a Dimensity 8200 version as a cheaper alternative with a slower 150 watts. Realme did something similar with the GT Neo 3 80W and GT Neo 3 150W. It will be a week before the official launch. Plenty of time for Realme to release more teasers in the days leading up to the event.
