The Realme GT Neo 5 has been doing the rounds in the rumor mill for a good four weeks now. Realme itself has already spoken out and confirmed that the new model will be the first cell phone that supports wired charging with 240 watts. Realme has not yet commented on the other technical data of the GT Neo 5. The website of the Chinese certification authority TENAA now took over and revealed pretty much all the specifications.

Two different versions have surfaced on TENAA – a Realme GT Neo 5 with the model code RMX3706 and one called RMX3708. The only difference between the two models is apparently the battery size. The RMX3706 has a nominal battery capacity of 2,425 mAh, the RMX3708 has 2,225 mAh under the hood. The typical battery capacity should therefore be 4,850 mAh and 4,450 mAh.
Realme GT Neo 5 in two versions
This is because the Realme smartphones need dual-cell batteries for the extremely high charging speeds. According to the previous leaks, there will be a GT Neo 5 150 watt version and a 240 watt model. The first has a 5,000 mAh battery, the second needs a little more space for the charging electronics and therefore only has 4,600 mAh.

GT Neo 5 renderings
The rest of the hardware is largely identical. Both Realme GT Neo 5 have a 6.74-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 2772 x 1240 pixels and an octa-core chipset with a maximum clock frequency of 3 GHz. The processor is said to be a low-frequency version of the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1. There are a total of four cameras on board, including a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front. The main rear camera setup is spearheaded by a 50-megapixel wide-angle with a Sony IMX890 sensor and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). There is also an 8 megapixel ultra wide and a 2 megapixel sensor with yet unknown function.
Both variants come with three RAM (8/12/16GB) and four storage options (128/256/512GB/1TB), an under-display fingerprint sensor, an infrared emitter and 5G connectivity. Interestingly, despite the difference in battery size, both the RMX3706 and RMX3708 are 8.9mm thick and 199g in weight.
The Realme GT Neo 5 will be presented next month. Realme has not yet announced the exact date. At the end of February, however, the Mobile World Congress (MWC) will take place in Barcelona, Spain. A fitting stage for Realme’s new flagship.
