Indications that the upcoming Oppo Find N3 and OnePlus Open will bring the same hardware to different markets are mounting daily. The Find N3 will be launched exclusively in China. The OnePlus Open will be sold worldwide with the same hardware platform. Therefore, the technical data of the displays should be identical for both foldables. Thanks to the usually reliable tipster Digital Chat Station, the specs have now surfaced on the internet.

According to DCS, the Oppo Find N3 should have sharper displays than the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5. The inner main display has a 7.82-inch resolution of 2,268 x 2,440 pixels. The cover display has 6.31-inch and a resolution of 2,484 x 1,116 pixels, which corresponds to the classic 20:9 format. The pixel density of the inner panel is 426 ppi, while the outer one reaches 431 ppi.
In comparison, the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold5 has a 7.6-inch main display with 1812 x 2176 pixels and around 373 ppi. The cover display is 6.2 inches with 904 x 2,316 pixels (401 ppi), which results in an aspect ratio of 23.1:9. Theoretically, the Oppo Find N3 (and possibly also the OnePlus Open) therefore has a larger and sharper display than the Samsung smartphone, both inside and out.
Up to 24GB RAM
Also, according to Digital Chat Station, there will be a version with 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage. Apparently, Oppo is even considering a variant with 24 GB of RAM. That’s not all that surprising as OnePlus just introduced the Ace 2 Pro with this configuration.
Concrete leaks for the OnePlus Open, on the other hand, are currently still quite rare. According to a new tip from Max Jambor, the Open will come in two colorways: Voyage Black and Emerald Eclipse (green).
