Oppo has released a new feature update for the cover display of its Find N2 Flip foldable smartphone. The Chinese also announced in a press release that the Oppo smartphone will receive four years of Android update support. The latter underscores Oppo’s claim as a premium manufacturer, at least as far as the company’s top models are concerned.
The update is all about the outer display of the Oppo Find N2 Flip. It now supports an exclusive Spotify widget, as well as speech-to-text functionality for a few select messaging apps. The Cover Display widget was co-developed with Spotify. You can use it to control music playback without opening the clamshell and add the current song to the library. The album cover can also be seen on the 3.2-inch OLED panel.
The speech-to-text feature supports WhatsApp, Facebook Messenger, Messages by Google, Telegram and LINE so far. It’s pretty useful if you want to react directly without opening the smartphone. The update is already being distributed to Oppo Find N2 Flip owners. However, it may take a day or two for the new firmware to reach all devices.
