OnePlus V Fold appears in new renderings

The OnePlus V Fold will apparently not be a rebranded Oppo Find N3, but rather a Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 or a vivo X Fold 2.

The long-awaited foldable smartphone from OnePlus is expected to launch in August and thanks to OnLeaks we now have the first CAD-based renders. The OnePlus V Fold will therefore not be a renamed Oppo Find N3, as previously speculated. In fact, the dimensions are more in the direction of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold4 and the vivo X Fold 2.

The pictures of the OnePlus V Fold show a chic metal frame and a high display with a punch hole. The back appears to have a leather-like finish and features a large camera module with three sensors and a Hasselblad logo. According to rumors, OnePlus will install an ultra wide cam and a periscope telephoto lens with still unknown sensors. We also get a a 50 megapixel main camera with a Sony IMX890 sensor. The cover display houses a 32 megapixel front camera based on an OV32C chip.

The new renderings do not mention the exact dimensions of the main display. However, rumors point to an LTPO AMOLED panel with a resolution somewhere in the range of 1,900 x 2,100 pixels and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The fingerprint sensor is integrated in the power button on the right side. We also get three speakers – one next to the USB-C port and two more in the upper frames.

The OnePlus V Fold is expected to have the brand new Snapdragon 8+ Gen 2 chipset under the hood. The battery has a capacity of 4,800 mAh and charges up to 100 watts via cable. The market launch should be getting closer now. So the first official teasers for the OnePlus cell phone should emerge soon.
