OnePlus teases upcoming Pad Go tablet

OnePlus today revealed the design of its upcoming OnePlus Pad Go tablet. Seven months after releasing its first-ever tablet, the Pad Go appears to be intended as a cheaper alternative. Not much else is known at the moment – apart from the image that you can see below, there are no official details yet.

The design and even the dimensions seem quite similar to the OnePlus Pad with its rounded corners and thin bezels on the front. The biggest difference is that the back is now painted two-tone, but is still mostly aluminum. The color of the OnePlus Pad Go is also identical to the original model, although the shade of green is slightly lighter. The metal finish on the back, however, has disappeared.

On the edges of the OnePlus Pad Go you can see the same combination of physical power and volume buttons as its predecessor. There also still appear to be four speakers, one in each corner. Interestingly, the Pad Go also has a card slot, either for expandable storage, a SIM or both.

The name and slogan “All Play, All Day” suggest that the new tablet has a focus on battery life. That could mean both a slower chipset and a lower refresh rate. At least the second point is contradicted by a new leak from a normally reliable tipster. Accordingly, the OnePlus Pad Go has an 11.6-inch LCD display with a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The resolution is 2.4K, which results in a pixel density of 296 ppi. The operating system is Android 13, and the speakers also support Dolby Atmos.
