OnePlus recently launched the OnePlus 11 in China. Other OnePlus devices will be released later this year, including the 11T, 11R and possibly an 11 Pro. However, not all of these devices may be smartphones. A new report suggests the OnePlus Pad tablet is also in the works. According to the tip, the tablet will soon be launched in India.
The codename for the OnePlus Pad is Aries. The marketing name could be both OnePlus Tab and OnePlus Pad. It could launch alongside the OnePlus 11R. So far there is no concrete information about the start, but a debut in June 2023 would be conceivable.
OnePlus Pad: specifications
With India as the main market, the OnePlus Pad is likely to become more of a budget device than a flagship tablet. According to previous reports, OnePlus took inspiration from an already available Oppo tablet for the upcoming slate. However, the new model will not be a one-to-one copy of the Oppo Pad.
Oppo Pad Air
OnePlus will likely make some design changes. In addition, there should be various changes in the technical data since the original Oppo Pad is already almost a year old. In addition, the Oppo Pad Air came onto the market a few months ago. And at least when it comes to Apple tablets, the compact iPad Air with a similar concept is the most successful model.
The Oppo Pad Air features a 10.36-inch IPS LCD display with a 2K resolution. Under the hood is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 680 chipset, a reliable mid-range cpu. In addition, the tablet has a 7,100 mAh battery that charges with a maximum of 18 watts.
However, OnePlus will hardly integrate the exact same specifications on the new tablet. There will certainly be some sensible hardware changes to differentiate the new tablet. As June approaches, more information is likely to emerge.
