OnePlus is preparing to launch its first foldable phone called OnePlus Open. And as of today the official start date is out – October 19th is the day. That’s Thursday next week, so the foldable is almost here. In fact, you can even pre-order it.

Because there is already an early bird offer. You can pay a deposit of €99/£99 now and get €250/£250 off the final price of the OnePlus Open. You’ll also get a free pair of OnePlus Buds Pro 2 worth €180/£180 for free. Further information can be found on the promo page.

A similar offer is also available in the USA and Canada, which are also involved. If you’re still unsure about pre-ordering, you can get $50 USD/$60 CAD credit by subscribing to the OnePlus Open email campaign. So far there are only rumors about the actual price – the price of the basic model is supposedly 1,699 US dollars (1,613 euros). A $200/€150/£150 discount might make the price a little more bearable.

The OnePlus Open is closely related to the largely identical Oppo Find N3, which will also be unveiled on October 19th. Most likely, the two foldables will explicitly avoid each other. It makes little sense to offer the same device on the same market under two different names. The first official video appeared last week.
