OnePlus Open gets eSIM support and camera updates

The OnePlus Open, introduced last month, has eSIM support, but so far the feature has not been active everywhere in the world. That’s changing now. A software update was released today that brings eSIM functionality to additional markets. The update has firmware version 13.2.0.116, a size of around 300 MB and is unfortunately still based on Android 13.

Updates for the system as well as for the five cameras of the OnePlus Open are included. You can read all the details in the screenshots of the update’s changelog above. The OnePlus Open is OnePlus’ first foldable smartphone. It has a 7.82-inch foldable main display with 120 Hz and a 6.31-inch cover display with 120 Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset with 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The 4,805 mAh battery charges via cable at 67 watts.

OnePlus 11 gets Android 14 update

The OnePlus 11 is also getting an update, albeit a slightly larger one – Android 14 is here. The rollout is already underway, but for now only in India. In addition, it is the turn of the users who took part in the closed beta and open beta programs first. If no major errors occur, the update will be released to all users promptly.

The new version is called Build CPH2447_14.0.0.201(EX01). As a prerequisite for the Android 14 update, the OnePlus 11 must be running on either the software version CPH2447_13.1.0596(EX01) or CPH2447_13.1.0595(EX01). In addition, you need 5 GB of free space and a battery level of at least 30% on your OnePlus phone to download.
