OnePlus has posted more teasers for the Nord CE 3 Lite, which is expected to be unveiled next week. Accordingly, the inexpensive OnePlus smartphone is developing into a massive upgrade over the Nord CE 2 Lite, at least in large part. According to OnePlus, just like the predecessor, a Snapdragon 695 chipset takes over the drive, the only weak point of the new version. The chipset can access 8 GB of RAM plus up to 8 GB of virtual RAM and 128 GB of storage.
The OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite also comes with a 108-megapixel main camera. According to the Chinese manufacturer, it offers triple digital zoom without any loss in image quality. The predecessor had a smaller 64 megapixel sensor with 0.7 µm pixels. There are also two other cameras about which OnePlus has not yet revealed any details. The old CE 2 Lite also had two 2 megapixel sensors.
On the front is a 6.72-inch display with a 120Hz refresh rate (previously 6.59-inch). OnePlus presents the CE 3 Lite as a gaming phone with a number of software improvements that will be part of OxygenOS 13.1. The 5,000 mAh battery charges at 67 watts (from 33 watts), giving the phone one-day battery life after 30 minutes.
As you can see, the OnePlus Nord CE 3 Lite comes in Pastel Lime and Chromatic Gray on the market. The prices should remain at those of the CE 2 Lite and should therefore be around €299 / $325.
We’ll also see some new OnePlus buds at the event. The OnePlus Nord Buds 2 feature dual 12.4mm drivers and the Chinese company’s BassWave algorithm.
