Another OnePlus smartphone gets the update to Android 13 – the entry-level model Nord CE 2 Lite, which was launched in May this year. So far, users in India have confirmed the rollout of the stable update to OxygenOS 13 based on Google’s latest operating system.

The update comes as a 4.5GB OTA download, so it might be worth downloading over a WiFi connection. After installation, the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite runs on software version CPH2381_11_C.25 and has the December 2022 security patch level. OnePlus is rolling out firmware updates in a staggered manner. Initially, only a small percentage of devices will get the new build. If no major errors occur, the rollout will be expanded within a few days.

The update includes many changes, including, of course, Google’s new Android 13 features. But there are also some OnePlus-specific features like the Dynamic Computing Engine, which improves system speed, stability, battery life, and the app experience. HyperBoost GPA 4.0 stabilizes FPS while gaming and balances performance and power consumption. OnePlus has also improved the always-on display and there’s a streamlined tray and more markup tools for screenshot editing. Also, you can now add large folders to the home screen.

OxygenOS 13 also brings the new Aquamorphic design to the OnePlus Nord CE 2 Lite. The new interface features “enhanced visual comfort” and “natural and vivid” animations powered by the new Quantum Animation Engine 4.0. The Quantum Engine also recognizes complex gestures and offers “optimized interactions”.
