OnePlus Open Fold

The OnePlus Fold is expected to be launched in the third quarter of this year. The first foldable smartphone from OnePlus is said to generously take advance of the corporate shelf. The same design as sister company Oppo and their upcoming foldable Find N3 is under discussion. Thanks to the reliable tipster Yogesh Brar, the most important technical data of the OnePlus Fold / Oppo Find N3 have now appeared on Twitter.

The OLED displays of the OnePlus Fold and the Oppo Find N3 are therefore 8 inches in size, have a QHD+ resolution and a refresh rate of 120 Hz. The external display is 6.5 inches, has a FHD resolution and also refreshes with 120 Hz. Both foldables are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processors, which can access up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

There are three cameras on the back of the OnePlus Fold and Oppo Find N3. These include a 50-megapixel main camera with OIS, a 48-megapixel ultra-wide, and a 32-megapixel periscope zoom. We also get two 32-megapixel selfie cameras, one in each display. The batteries have a capacity of 4,800 mAh and charge with a fast 80 watts.

The design of the OnePlus Fold and the Oppo Find N3 should be largely identical and very similar to the predecessor Oppo Find N2. According to the first teasers, two foldable OnePlus smartphones are also in the works – in addition to the foldable, the Chinese are also working on a OnePlus V Flip. Officially, however, OnePlus only disclosed the launch date in the third quarter. The price should be INR 96,990 (EUR 1,080.86/US$ 1,170). The expected release date is 08.12.2023.
